The Historic Natchez Collection

The Historic Natchez Foundation and its licensed group of carefully selected manufacturers offer high quality home furnishings that capture the spirit and detail of a unique style beautifully suited to a broad range of interiors today.

The style mines the treasure trove of decorative arts and architecture in the antique Mississippi River town of Natchez, where the domain of the cotton planter survives in all its sumptuous beauty.

The people of Natchez combined opulent furnishings inherited from the grand villas of the antebellum planting aristocracy with choice decorative arts from subsequent periods to create a style that includes early twentieth century charm, nineteenth century richness, and eighteenth century sophistication and is marked by an easygoing elegance that is warm and hospitable.

To make the style available to a greater audience, the Historic Natchez Foundation has selected manufacturers with the highest reputations for craftsmanship and proven success and dedication to working within the stringent requirements of a licensing program. The Foundation is extremely proud of the companies in the program and is delighted with the quality and accuracy of their products.

The objects which make up the Historic Natchez Collection encompass a wide and continually expanding range of home furnishings.

Antiques found in Natchez have been accurately copied to create accurate reproductions. Others have been adapted to serve more usefully today's needs. Still others have been creatively interpreted in new designs called inspirations.

Products in the collection are available at retail stores across America. For the location of the store nearest you, contact one of the licensed companies at right or contact us.

A portion of the sales price of each product in the collection funds the preservation and education work of the Foundation.
